PBA: Terrence Romeo exits San Miguel opener after knee, ankle injuries

Terrence Romeo injured his left ankle and knee simultaneously during the fourth quarter of San Miguel’s 2021 PBA season opener against the Meralco Bolts on Sunday.

The star guard twisted his left ankle awkwardly after hurting his left knee which he favored as he sat along the sidelines while trying to figure out what had just happened.

Romeo was up to 18 points on 9-of-18 shooting off the bench when the injury occurred, having logged more than 24 minutes. He added three rebounds and two assists.

The former Gilas Pilipinas guard would not return in the game as the Bolts escaped with a win, 93-87 to move to 2-0 in the standings.
