Rain or Shine controlled the first half with strong execution on both ends, building a comfortable lead behind steady scoring and defensive pressure. The Elasto Painters looked poised to extend their perfect start as Phoenix struggled to find rhythm early.

James Dickey III anchored Phoenix with a dominant interior presence, while Jason Perkins provided consistent scoring to stabilize the offense. Tyler Tio added timely perimeter shooting that helped sustain the rally, with Prince Rivero and Evan Nelle contributing across multiple facets of the game.
Rain or Shine still remains at the top of the standings despite the loss, but the defeat tightens pressure heading into a difficult closing stretch of games against top contenders in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
