As if there is still doubting Alisha Del Campo’s capabilities in the field, one of the finest Filipina scorers in the women’s football scene today replicated her hattrick from two days ago to help deliver a deserving international football title for one of the Philippines’ most established women’s clubs.
Guesting for Kaya F.C., Del Campo anchored the team to a scintillating 8-nil victory over Indonesian side Persib Bandung Putri on Friday night at the German European School as they ruled the Women’s Football Championship invitational in Singapore.
Saving their best performance for the title-clincher, the Kaya ladies also saw five others find the back of the net in guest player Anicka Castaneda, Nica Sy, Dionesa Tolentin, Bhebe Lemoran, and Maye Mendano.
Del Campo would finish with six goals total throughout the tournament, while Tolentin added four conversions.
Coach Let Dimzon’s troops finished with an undefeated slate in the four-nation competition, previously beating Singapore’s Lion City Sailors, 3-1, and Thailand’s Phranakorn F.C., 6-0.
The defending AIA 7’s Football League women’s division champions garnered momentum ahead as they play Maharlika Manila F.C. women on Sunday.
They also set the bar high ahead of the planned PFF Women’s Cup.
