Jean-Jacques Boissy put on a shooting clinic Saturday night, draining an incredible 24 three-pointers en route to 28 points, helping Al Ahli Tripoli (Libya) secure an 87-77 win over Made By Basketball (MBB, South Africa) in the Basketball Africa League’s Nile Conference opener at BK Arena, Kigali.
Boissy’s sharpshooting was just part of Al Ahli’s dominant performance as they outrebounded MBB 51-37, including a staggering 21 offensive rebounds. Jaylen Adams and Naseim Badrush combined for 30 points and eight rebounds to fuel the victory.
On the MBB side, Teafale Lenard Jr. led the charge with 20 points and six rebounds, while Robinson Opong contributed 15 points. Pieter Prinsloo chipped in six points and five rebounds.

In the night’s second game, APR (Rwanda) displayed a comprehensive team effort to beat Nairobi City Thunder (Kenya) 92-63. Aliou Diara was a force on both ends, finishing with 21 points, 12 rebounds, six blocks, and four steals, shooting an efficient 52.3% from the floor.
Former NBA player Chasson Randle added 20 points, and APR capitalized on fast breaks for 28 points total.
The Nile Conference continues Sunday with Nairobi City Thunder facing Al Ahli Tripoli at 2:30 p.m., followed by MBB taking on APR at 5:30 p.m. CAT.
