Gilas Pilipinas to re-host FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers after Qatar backs out

The Philippines will be hosting the 3rd window of the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers after all.

This comes after a COVID-19 outbreak happened in Qatar, which was set to host a bubble before a last-minute change.

The Philippines was originally going to host a bubble in Clark, although it was cancelled initially due to travel restrictions.

But due to the situation in Qatar, FIBA Asia decided to bring back the bubble to the Philippines.

Gilas Pilipinas is currently 3-0 in their group and shall face Korea twice and Indonesia once.

They will be led by players like Isaac Go, Dwight Ramos, Matt Nieto, Juan Gomez de Liano, Kiefer Ravena, Troy Rosario, RR Pogoy, and Raul Soyud.
