Alexandra Eala’s strong run at the Berlin WTA event came to an end in the semifinals after a 6-2, 6-4 defeat to Linda Noskova in 69 minutes.
The Filipina battled through moments of resistance, including a brief second-set surge, but was ultimately overpowered by Noskova’s aggressive baseline play and consistent serving.

Noskova’s Firepower Too Strong
Noskova dictated the tempo from the opening set, using heavy shot-making and a dominant serve to keep Eala on the defensive throughout the match.
Despite Eala managing to break back twice in the contest, she struggled to maintain momentum against Noskova’s sustained pressure and high winner count.
Eala briefly fought her way into the second set by winning three consecutive games to lead 4-3, showing resilience and flashes of her return game, but Noskova immediately responded to regain control and close out the match.
Eala’s Run and Progress
Although the loss ended her Berlin campaign, Eala’s performance throughout the tournament highlighted continued progress on grass, particularly in her ability to compete in longer rallies against higher-ranked opponents.
Her semifinal appearance added another significant result to her growing WTA profile, reflecting steady development in her transition across surfaces.
Noskova, meanwhile, advanced to her first grass-court final and extended her head-to-head advantage over Eala to 2-0.
