Creamline once again proved its championship pedigree on Thursday, April 16 after defeating Farm Fresh in four sets, 25-23, 14-25, 25-23, 25-19, to secure another Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference finals appearance. The Cool Smashers leaned on their composure in key moments, overcoming a determined Foxies side that showed flashes of brilliance but struggled to close under pressure.
What initially appeared to be a tight contest ultimately tilted in favor of Creamline, whose experience in high-stakes situations made the difference late in sets. Farm Fresh had multiple opportunities to shift momentum but faltered in crucial stretches, allowing Creamline to take control when it mattered most.

Creamline composure turns the tide
The pivotal stretch came in the third set, where Creamline escaped a tense battle that could have gone either way. That escape proved crucial, as the Cool Smashers carried the momentum into the fourth set and quickly established control with a strong start.
Farm Fresh attempted to rally and even cut the deficit to a single point midway through the frame, but Creamline responded with poise behind Jia de Guzman’s steady playmaking. Trusting her middle attackers, Pangs Panaga delivered key quick hits that restored separation and stabilized the Cool Smashers.
From there, Creamline maintained its composure and capitalized on Farm Fresh errors down the stretch, closing out the match with disciplined execution. The Foxies’ inexperience surfaced in the closing moments, as miscues piled up under pressure.
Balanced attack powers finals return
Panaga earned Best Player of the Game honors with 13 points, including six kill blocks that highlighted Creamline’s dominance at the net. Tots Carlos led the team in scoring with 15 points, while Jema Galanza added 13 and Bernadette Pons contributed 12 in a balanced offensive effort.
Creamline also showcased its defensive strength, with Carlos tallying 14 excellent digs while Pons recorded 17 digs and receptions in an all-around performance. The Cool Smashers finished with 12 blocks, asserting control at the net and offsetting Farm Fresh’s slight edge in attacks.
On the other side, Trisha Tubu led all scorers with 21 points, supported by Ces Molina, Royse Tubino, and Mylene Paat. Despite the strong showing, Farm Fresh struggled to maintain composure in the closing moments, allowing Creamline to pull away and seal the win.
With the victory, the Cool Smashers advanced to their 15th finals appearance, where they will face Cignal in the championship series. Farm Fresh, meanwhile, shifts its focus to the bronze-medal match against PLDT as it continues its breakthrough campaign.
