Esepo means plenty of punches and the way Taiwo Agbaje fights, it is punches in bunches. Taiwo competes in the featherweight division and is 16-0-0 with 11 knockouts.

His agent, Gwen Legge, co-founder of Eruption Boxing Management, predicts that the native of Lagos, Nigeria, “will be a world champion in 18-24 months”.

The 32-year-old has one-punch knockout power in both hands, has solid footwork, and defends himself well against counters. He just comes at you constantly.

His next fight will be against Riliwan “The Real Show Boy” Lawal (19-1-0 13 knockouts) in Abuja, Nigeria on October 26.

Taiwo was a guest on the Sports For All podcast and he talked about how he got started in the sweet science. Esepo’s father, mother, and uncle are former world champions.

When you watch his past fights, you sense a Mike Tyson in him where he just keeps coming forward with a barrage of lefts and rights, straights and hooks. The punches he throws coming forward are controlled and are neither overhands nor wild haymakers.

Taiwo is currently the reigning and defending WBF (World Boxing Federation) featherweight intercontinental champion.

According to www.punching.com, “The undefeated Agbaje, with an impressive record of 16 wins and 11 knockouts, is determined to etch his name in the annals of boxing history. “My long-term goal is to be the world champion. It is my life’s dream,” the boxer nicknamed ‘Esepo’ meaning plenty punches told Saturday PUNCH with unwavering conviction.

With plenty of punches coming from Esepo, hopefully will translate into plenty of world titles.
