Ginebra firepower overwhelms Titan Ultra
Brownlee led all scorers with 35 points while adding nine rebounds and four assists, setting the tone on offense. His consistent production allowed Ginebra to dictate the pace and maintain separation.
Abarrientos added 25 points to lead the local unit, continuing his strong stretch of performances. Troy Rosario stepped up in extended minutes, delivering a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds in the absence of Aguilar.
Scottie Thompson contributed across the board with 12 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists, while Stephen Holt chipped in 10 points and eight rebounds. The collective effort ensured Ginebra controlled most of the contest from start to finish.
Kings eye top four finish in final stretch
With a quarterfinals slot secured, Ginebra now focuses on finishing strong in the eliminations to earn a top-four spot. The team is targeting a twice-to-beat advantage heading into the playoffs.
Coach Tim Cone emphasized sustaining their level of play as they approach their final games against Meralco, Rain or Shine, and TNT. The stretch will determine their positioning in the standings.
Titan Ultra dropped to 2-7 after the loss, moving further away from playoff contention. Despite a solid performance from Joshua Munzon, who posted 20 points and 10 assists, the team struggled to match Ginebra’s depth.
The Gin Kings’ consistency and balanced production continue to make them a strong contender as the PBA Commissioner’s Cup heads toward the playoffs.
