PVL Draft 2025: One Week Left to Apply for Aspiring Volleyball Stars

Time is running out for rising volleyball athletes aiming to break into the professional ranks, as the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) nears the May 23 deadline for its 2025 Rookie Draft applications.

With only one week remaining, young female talents across the country are urged to submit their applications for a chance to showcase their skills and compete in one of the Philippines’ premier sports leagues. Organized by Sports Vision, the draft is a gateway for amateurs to elevate their game and face off against the nation’s volleyball elite.

Application Details

Applicants must complete the official draft application form, accessible at http://pvl.ph/draft. The filled form, along with all required documents, must be submitted to draft@pvl.ph no later than May 23, 2025.

To be eligible, candidates must be:

  • Female at birth, as verified by a PSA-issued birth certificate

  • At least 21 years old by December 31, 2025

  • Applicants under 21 may still qualify if they have completed a college degree

No Collegiate Requirements

The PVL Draft does not require prior participation in the UAAP, NCAA, or any collegiate league. However:

  • Non-UAAP/NCAA players must submit a coach or athletic director endorsement

  • Those with no collegiate background must present an endorsement from a currently registered PVL, UAAP, or NCAA coach

Additional Documents Required

All applicants must include:

  • Medical clearance from a licensed physician

  • Signed medical declaration form

  • Notarized declaration of no existing commitments to other teams

  • For Filipino-foreigners: A valid Philippine passport or an official receipt confirming release

Draft Process and Key Dates

  • Draft Combine: May 30–31, 2025 – Includes performance testing and a media day

  • Final list of eligible draftees: June 4, 2025

  • Rookie Draft Day: June 8, 2025

This year’s draft is expected to shape the league’s next era, with clubs eagerly scouting the next breakout stars. Following a standout 2024–25 All-Filipino Conference, excitement around the draft has never been higher.

Draft Lottery and Order

The draft order was determined through a lottery, with Nxled holding the top odds for the No. 1 overall pick (40%), followed by:

  • Capital1 – 30%

  • Farm Fresh – 20%

  • Galeries Tower – 10%

The full first-round order includes: ZUS Coffee, Cignal, Chery Tiggo, Choco Mucho, PLDT, Akari, Petro Gazz, and Creamline.

As the PVL continues to grow in stature and popularity, the 2025 Rookie Draft could mark the beginning of a new era of volleyball excellence. For athletes with dreams of going pro, this is the moment to make their move.
