PLDT’s resilience prevails

The first two sets were closely contested as ZUS Coffee stayed within striking distance with disciplined floor defense and well-timed attacks. PLDT had to earn every point, with the Thunderbelles’ resistance pushing the High Speed Hitters to rely on composure and experience.

The third set, however, saw PLDT take decisive control. Kim Dy sparked a run with a soft touch and follow-up combination plays that expanded the lead to 11-5. ZUS Coffee responded briefly, with Thea Gagate scoring on a quick attack, but costly errors and PLDT’s sustained pressure prevented another rally. By the final technical timeout, PLDT led 16-7 and never relinquished the advantage, cruising to the 25-13 set win.
