Andika Rama delivered a standout performance at the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Asia eSports GT Championship 2025, held over the weekend at Toyota Alive Space in Bangkok. The Indonesian sim driver’s precision, strategy, and composure across three high-stakes races earned him the top individual honors and helped propel Indonesia to the Country Championship.

Rama’s victories in both Suzuka and Watkins Glen, combined with a strong showing from teammate Moreno Pratama, cemented Indonesia’s dominance. Malaysia and Singapore followed in second and third place in the team rankings, but it was Rama’s consistent skill that defined the weekend.

Masterclass at Suzuka and Interlagos

The championship opened at Suzuka Circuit, where wet conditions turned the race into a test of reflexes and tire strategy. Andika Rama remained calm under pressure, outpacing rivals and executing flawless cornering. Moreno Pratama finished closely behind, while Malaysia’s Chong Kai Chang claimed third.

The Interlagos team-format race added complexity with day-to-night transitions and compulsory driver swaps in the GR010 Hybrid. Despite Malaysia taking the win, Rama and the Indonesian squad showcased remarkable teamwork and tire management, securing a strong second-place finish and maintaining momentum for the final showdown.

Watkins Glen crowns Andika Rama champion

The final race at Watkins Glen demanded split-second decisions in the GR Supra Race Car ’19. Andika Rama combined aggressive but calculated racing lines with flawless pit strategy to seize victory once again. Moreno Pratama complemented the effort with a second-place finish, while Chong Kai Chang of Malaysia completed the podium. Rama’s dominant weekend not only earned him the individual title but also drove Indonesia to the top of the Country Championship standings.

“Winning the 2025 TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Asia eSports GT Championship is the culmination of careful planning, strategy, and adaptability,” said Andika Rama. “Every lap was a chance to refine my approach, and seeing it all come together for both myself and Indonesia is incredibly rewarding.”

Malaysia’s Chong Kai Chang and Singapore’s Fadtris Isa also received recognition for outstanding performances, but it was Rama’s precision, composure, and consistency that made the championship unforgettable. Team Philippines’ Enzo Ison achieved the country’s highest finish in eighth place, contributing to a fourth-place ranking overall.
