Sisi Rondina and Bernadeth Pons will banner the Philippine campaign as the country once again takes center stage in global volleyball. The Volleyball World 2025 Beach Pro Tour Challenge is set for October 15 to 19 at the Nuvali Sands Court by Ayala Land in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
The event will gather top international and local beach volleyball talent for five days of world-class competition.
Local pairs ready to compete
Joining Rondina and Pons in the women’s division are Jenny Gaviola and Alexa Polidario, Sunny Villapando and Dij Rodriguez, and Kly Orillaneda and Gen Eslapor.
They are part of a field of 111 pairs competing in the tournament organized by the FIVB through Volleyball World. The Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF), led by Ramon “Tats” Suzara, is hosting the event. It follows the country’s successful staging of the 2025 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship last month.

“After the world championship hosting, here we are again at the Beach Volley Pro Tour with exciting world-class matches in Nuvali,” Suzara said.
In the men’s division, the Philippines will be represented by 2023 Southeast Asian Games bronze medalists Ran Abdilla and James Buytrago. Also seeing action are the pairs of Ronniel Rosales and Rancel Varga, and Edwin Tolentino and Larry John Francisco.
Defending champions return
Sweden’s Jacob Holting Nilsson and Elmer Andersson are back to defend their men’s title. They will face a stacked field that includes Rio de Janeiro leg champions Javier and Joaquin Bello of England. The English brothers also captured bronze in last year’s Nuvali leg.
The women’s competition will feature 46 pairs from 15 countries. Americans Toni Rodriguez and Molly Shaw are returning to defend their crown.
