Muhammad “The Punisher” Mokaev will face Gerard “The Animal” Burns for the inaugural BRAVE Combat Federation (BRAVE CF) Flyweight World Championship. The title bout headlines BRAVE 100 on November 7 at Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town, Bahrain.

The match will determine the promotion’s first flyweight king, setting the stage for a milestone event.

Mokaev eyes a historic breakthrough

Mokaev enters the fight with an undefeated 15-0 record. He has collected seven submission wins and two knockouts, establishing himself as one of the top flyweights in the sport.

The Dagestan-born English fighter rose through the IMMAF World Championships in 2019 and 2020. He quickly climbed BRAVE CF’s ladder by winning four of his first five fights.

In December 2024, Mokaev made a successful return to the promotion. He submitted Filipino fighter Joevincent So with a first-round D’Arce choke, showcasing his elite grappling.

“This is the golden opportunity I’ve been waiting for. I’ve fought my way through every challenge, and on November 7, I will etch my name in history as the first BRAVE CF Flyweight World Champion,” Mokaev said.

Burns looks to bring gold to Ireland

Burns carries a 7-1 record with a 58-percent finishing rate. Since joining BRAVE CF in 2023, he has built momentum with four consecutive wins. His run includes two first-round stoppages and two clear decisions.

In July, Burns secured a title shot by defeating Alinson “El Chompiras” Ochoa via unanimous decision at BRAVE CF 97. The victory solidified his place as the top Irish contender in the division.

“Ireland has been waiting for this moment. I’m coming to Bahrain to bring that World Title home. November 7 will be the night I prove that the Irish spirit cannot be denied,” Burns said.

With both fighters in peak form, the flyweight title clash is expected to deliver a decisive moment for BRAVE CF’s growing roster.
