TNT Tropang 5G’s winning streak hit four as RR Pogoy, Poy Erram, and Calvin Oftana delivered a scoring onslaught in a 111-103 triumph over Rain or Shine on Wednesday night at the Ynares Center in Antipolo. The victory pulled TNT into a tie with the Elasto Painters at 4-3 in the PBA Philippine Cup eliminations.

Pogoy poured in 35 points, Erram had a career-high 31, and Oftana added 28 to lead TNT’s charge, building on their combined 74-point effort against Meralco just days earlier. Despite missing Rey Nambatac and Jayson Castro, the Tropang 5G pulled off a second straight dominant performance.

Rain or Shine Cools Off After Strong Start

Rain or Shine started hot, jumping to a 14-point lead at 31-17 in the opening quarter, but their offense sputtered in the final period. Caelan Tiongson remained sidelined, and Adrian Nocum exited early in the fourth after a foot injury, affecting ROS’ rhythm down the stretch.

TNT took advantage and unleashed a decisive 20-4 blitz led by Pogoy, Erram, Oftana, and Simon Enciso to break the game open. Oftana’s last of four three-pointers sealed the win at 104-92, capping off TNT’s 34-29 finishing kick.

TNT’s Hot Shooting vs ROS’s Slump

TNT knocked down six triples in the final quarter and matched their red-hot perimeter form from previous games, where they shot 16-of-32 from deep. Meanwhile, Rain or Shine, who made 15 threes in a win over Magnolia, could only connect on 10-of-30 against TNT’s lockdown defense.

Andre Caracut led the losing side with 20 points, followed by Gian Mamuyac with 18, Jhonard Clarito with 17, and Keith Datu with 10. Nocum finished with just 3-of-12 shooting before leaving the game with an injury.
