Made By Basketball (MBB) pulled off an incredible comeback victory over Nairobi City Thunder in the BAL Nile Conference, 75-74, at BK Arena in Kigali on Tuesday afternoon. Trailing by 18 points in the second half, MBB rallied behind a game-high 30 points and 11 rebounds from Pieter Prinsloo.
The game came down to the wire, with Robinson Opong hitting a dramatic three-pointer with just over three seconds remaining to put MBB ahead by one. Opong’s clutch shot was his second from downtown, sparking wild celebrations for coach Sam Vincent’s squad.

Nairobi City Thunder fought hard, led by Evans Ganapamo’s 21 points and Tylor Ongwae’s 20 points, but the team struggled with shooting efficiency, converting only 36 percent of their field goals. This loss leaves Thunder searching for their first win in the competition at 0-3.
In the other Nile Conference match, Al Ahli Tripoli remained unbeaten with a dominant 90-68 win over APR Rwanda. Jean Jacques Boissy and Naseim Badrush combined for 52 points and played a pivotal role for the Libyan side, who now sit atop the conference at 3-0. APR fell to 2-1 after missing key player Aliou Diarra due to injury.
The BAL action resumes Thursday with Al Ahli facing Nairobi City Thunder at 4 p.m. CAT, followed by APR taking on Made By Basketball at 7 p.m. CAT.
