Deanna Wong isn’t just a setter for Choco Mucho — she’s a viral sensation and fan favorite across the Philippines!

At the first-ever Pilipinas Live PVL Press Corps Awards Night on May 28 at Novotel, Wong dominated the fan vote, crushing the competition with a whopping 24,000 reactions on the PVL Press Corps Facebook page.

Despite being the only player from outside the powerhouse Creamline squad on the shortlist, Wong outpaced big names like Jema Galanza (12,000 reactions), Alyssa Valdez (10,000), and Bea De Leon (6,400) with her massive online following — boasting 866,000 Facebook fans, 1.4 million Instagram followers, and 2.4 million TikTok supporters rallying behind her.

The fans didn’t just vote for players — they also crowned the most thrilling game of the year: the epic PVL All-Filipino Conference quarterfinal Game 2 clash between PLDT and Choco Mucho. That match, which Choco Mucho narrowly won in five sets (25-15, 12-25, 25-23, 21-25, 15-13) on March 20 at Philsports Arena, lit up social media with 3,100 reactions — far eclipsing other highlight games from the season.

On the sportsmanship front, Chery Tiggo earned the Fair Play award, thanks to their respect for the game and the most green cards (six) in the Reinforced and All-Filipino Conferences, edging out Akari by just one.

Fans will also get to pick the Star of the Night — the most dazzling personality on the red carpet — with the winner determined by reactions on the PVL Press Corps Facebook page.

With these fresh, fan-driven awards, the Pilipinas Live PVL Press Corps Awards Night is already shaping up to be the ultimate celebration of volleyball stars and unforgettable moments.
