PFA to hold Senior Fencing Championships on Saturday

The Philippine Fencing Association will hold the Gateway 2 Senior Fencing Championships this weekend, a two-day event starting on Saturday, February 3.

The event, which will be held at the Upper Ground B, Quantum Skyview, Gateway Mall 2, Araneta City.

On Saturday, the Senior Fencing Championships start at 10:00 a.m. with the men’s epee. The women’s foil event will follow at 1:30 p.m. The men’s sabre event follows at 5:30 p.m. to cap off the day’s schedule.

Action resumes on Sunday, February 4, and will follow the same order sequence done on day one.

A number of SEA Games medalists are set to take part in the event. That includes Noelito Jose Jr. (men’s epee), Hanniel Abella (women’s epee), Samuel Tranquilan (men’s foil), Nathaniel Perez (men’s foil), Wilhelmina Lozada (women’s foil), Christian Jhester Concepcion (men’s saber) and Jylyn Nicanor (women’s saber).

Among the invited guests to grace the project organized by the PFA are Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Commissioner Walter Torres and Congressman Richard Gomez.
