Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes were aware that they faced huge odds to pull one against the favored USC Trojans on Saturday, September 30.
The no. 8 USC Trojans won over the Buffs, 48-41. It was the second-straight loss for the Buffaloes after starting the season 3-0.
Despite being massive underdogs, the Buffs made a good account of themselves in the game. Unfortunately, Caleb Williams proved too hot to handle, especially with the Buffaloes’ defense missing Travis Hunter and Shilo Sanders.
“Caleb is playing at a high level. Had a couple that we would love back there at the end that we don’t typically make,” USC head coach Lincoln Riley said after the game via Fox News. “The guy continues to perform for this team. So, proud of his progress, and the rest of the team has to keep coming along.”
Regardless, Deion Sanders remained proud of his boys for their effort against the Trojans. He made that clear in his post-game speech that was shared on social media.
“You have nothing, not one thing to hang your head down for,” Sanders said. “You guys fought, you were resilient, and you didn’t give up. I’m so damn proud of y’all, man.”
Love this postgame speech from coach prime after losing to USC 💯
