The NBA has announced the creation of the NBA Africa Dikembe Mutombo Humanitarian Award, an annual honor recognizing individuals and organizations advancing health, education, and economic opportunity across Africa. In tribute to Mutombo’s legacy, NBA Africa will also donate 55 basketball courts to communities across the continent.
