Adamson University’s title defense stayed on track Saturday with a clinical straight-sets win. The Lady Falcons downed Colegio de San Juan de Letran, 25-17, 25-18, 25-16, at Gameville Central Park.

The result pushed Adamson to 3-0 in the 2026 V-League Collegiate Challenge. That mark keeps the reigning champions level with the unbeaten Arellano Lady Chiefs.

Mordi Leads Balanced Adamson Attack

Frances Mordi carried Adamson’s offense with a match-high 17 points. Lhouriz Tuddao, Princess Dote, and Red Bascon each backed her up with six points apiece.

Adamson controlled the match from the opening whistle, taking the first two sets with ease. The Lady Falcons kept the pressure on in the third, with Mordi and Bascon delivering key conversions.

Tuddao capped the sweep with an off-speed hit to close out the match. Head coach JP Yude credited his players for executing the game plan.

“We prepared for this game and I let the players do the work during the game,” Yude said. “I’m very happy with how they responded.”

Yude also praised the team’s depth throughout the win. “Kung sino talaga pwede namin magamit, nagagamit,” he said, adding that every player who entered contributed.

Letran Searches for First Win

Rheina Merwa was the lone double-digit scorer for Letran with 10 points. Judiel Nitura chipped in seven as the Lady Knights struggled to find rhythm.

The loss left Letran winless through two matches. The Lady Knights face San Beda University next, on Sunday, Sept. 6, at 3:00 p.m., still at Gameville Central Park.

Adamson, meanwhile, will chase its fourth straight win against De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. That match is set for Sunday, Sept. 6, at 5:00 p.m., as the Lady Falcons look to stay level with Arellano.
