Bosnian Rising Star Walks Into Hostile Territory After Big Hype

Amil Tutić just received the kind of endorsement that changes how a fighter is perceived. Now he has to back it up in the last place any prospect would want to — in front of a hostile crowd, on foreign soil, against the hometown favorite.

The 21-year-old Bosnian returns to the cage on September 5, when he meets Croatian fighter Ivan Kiš in a three-round super welterweight bout at the historic Pula Arena. The fight sits on the undercard of BRAVE CF 108, but the stakes feel bigger than that billing suggests.

A Legend’s Endorsement Raises the Stakes

Miran “Slo Rocky” Fabjan, a respected veteran of Slovenian kickboxing and MMA, was recently asked who could become the next face of Balkan mixed martial arts. He didn’t hesitate before naming Tutić.

“Amil Tutić, probably. He has that feeling… He has something about him,” Fabjan said in a podcast appearance. The comment has since spread through combat sports circles across the region.

Fabjan’s words carry real weight because he has trained alongside Tutić and seen his tools up close. That firsthand view makes the prediction harder to dismiss as hype.

The timing only sharpens the pressure. Tutić now walks into Kiš’s backyard carrying the label of a future star, against an opponent with every incentive to spoil the moment in front of his own fans.

Tutić’s Rise Has Been Built the Hard Way

Tutić’s path to this spotlight started in kickboxing, where he built a reputation in point fighting and low kick competition under the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations. That striking base gave him an early identity in combat sports.

Since moving into MMA, he has added Brazilian jiu-jitsu and judo-based grappling to his game. The result is a fighter who can threaten opponents standing or on the ground, rather than leaning on one dimension.

His BRAVE CF resume already tells a story of resilience. He made his promotional debut in November 2025 against Slovenian standout David Forster, losing a close decision in a fight that went the full three rounds.

Tutić got his answer this past June at BRAVE CF 106, rematching Forster at a 77.5-kilogram catchweight. He won by unanimous decision in another grueling three-round battle, squaring the series and proving the first result was no fluke.

That win did more than settle a rivalry. It also earned him an exclusive multi-fight contract with BRAVE CF, cementing his status as one of the promotion’s fighters to watch heading into September 5.
