Nxled flexed its depth and composure on Saturday, Feb. 14, defeating Cignal HD Spikers 25-19, 25-22, 27-25 to claim the solo lead in the PVL All-Filipino Conference at Ynares Center. The Chameleons built on earlier wins over Farm Fresh and Capital1 Solar to maintain their perfect record.
The Chameleons overcame a shaky third set, regrouping after surrendering a 23-21 lead and three straight points. Brooke Van Sickle ignited the team with a critical blast to reclaim the lead, keeping Cignal’s counterattacks at bay.

Jules Tolentino emphasized team chemistry as the key to their composure under pressure. “It’s the connection between each player, which we’ve been polishing in training,” she said, finishing the match with 19 excellent sets and five points.
Depth and firepower shine
Nxled showcased its scoring arsenal with Van Sickle and MJ Phillips contributing 14 points each, Myla Pablo adding 12, and Lyann de Guzman nine. The Chameleons out-attacked Cignal 52-36 and dominated the net with seven blocks, five more than the Super Spikers.
Cignal struggled to support Vanie Gandler, who scored only five points after a prior 25-point game against Farm Fresh. Erika Santos led the team with 15 points, while Erin Pangilinan added seven and setter Gel Cayuna delivered eight excellent sets but struggled to orchestrate the offense.
Composure under pressure
The Chameleons stayed focused through tight stretches, including a late second-set rally by Cignal that trimmed a 19-24 deficit. Nxled relied on their bread-and-butter sets to Van Sickle, who finished key points with precision and power to close out the set and maintain control.
Nxled improved to 3-0 and will face Galeries Tower Highrisers next, while Cignal dropped to 2-1, allowing idle PLDT to hold second place at 2-0. The victory solidified Nxled’s status as one of the league’s rising powerhouses, combining bench depth, tactical poise, and big-game execution.
