Jude Garcia claims fourth consecutive MVP as Criss Cross stars shine in Spikers’ Turf

Criss Cross star Jude Garcia reached unprecedented heights in the Spikers’ Turf Invitational Conference, capturing his fourth consecutive Most Valuable Player award on Saturday, Nov. 29.

The 27-year-old outside spiker led the semifinals in scoring with 113 points while ranking third in spiking at 49.29 percent. He also made his mark in serving and digging, ranking seventh and ninth respectively, underlining his all-around impact on the league.

Meanwhile, Adrian Villados emerged as the Finals MVP after orchestrating Criss Cross’s 25-15, 25-21, 23-25, 23-25, 22-20 championship victory over Kindai University. His 34 excellent sets in the gold medal match helped secure the team’s first-ever title and earned him Best Setter recognition.

Elite performances highlight Criss Cross dominance

Garcia also received his first Best Outside Spiker award, joining Cignal’s Jau Umandal on the Spikers’ Turf Elite Team. Umandal finished third in scoring with 90 points, second in spiking at 49.68 percent, and added notable blocking and serving numbers to secure his third Best Outside Spiker citation.

Criss Cross’s Poy Colinares and Savouge’s Giles Torres claimed the Best Middle Blocker honors. Colinares recorded 0.71 blocks per set and 15 kill blocks, while Torres tallied 0.63 blocks per set and 12 kill blocks for his second citation.

Kindai University stars shine despite loss

Kindai University’s Ryutaro Aun earned Best Opposite Spiker after finishing second in scoring with 94 points and leading the league in spiking at 53.33 percent. Yuito Kose, also from Kindai, took Best Libero recognition with second-place finishes in both digging (2.39 per set) and receiving (56.98 percent).

These individual honors highlight the standout performances across the Invitational Conference, with Garcia’s four-peat and Villados’ Finals MVP cementing Criss Cross’s championship story.
