Foxies survive dramatic third set
The third set tested Farm Fresh’s composure. Despite holding an eight-point lead, the Foxies faced three set points before Eli Rosseaux’s decisive plays sealed the win. Trisha Tubu and Ces Molina delivered key kills to tie the frame at 24 and 26, while Rosseaux countered Yuni Batista’s attacks with precision. A video review confirmed the final point, completing the hard-fought victory.
Setter Alohi Robins-Hardy, who earned Best Player of the Game with 24 excellent sets and seven points, emphasized the team’s focus and credited Chery Tiggo for their spirited challenge.
“Shoutout to Chery Tiggo – they’re an awesome team. They fought and they really battled,” Robins-Hardy said.
Farm Fresh heads into quarterfinals with momentum
The Foxies carry a four-match winning streak into the knockout stage, bringing confidence and determination. Rosseaux led with 20 points, Molina contributed 14, and Tubu added 13, while Lorene Toring chipped in eight points.
Chery Tiggo finished 2-6, with Batista scoring 28 points and Ara Galang and Mylene Paat contributing nine and eight, respectively. Robins-Hardy reiterated the team’s focus on continuous improvement despite their top-seed achievement.
“Nothing absolutely perfect, but we’re striving for that,” she said. “Being a lot steadier throughout the match – no matter how many sets – we’re just going to keep working.”
