PFL Africa Finals set for historic night in Benin as champions prepare for title glory

The Professional Fighters League will stage a milestone event in Africa when the PFL Africa Finals take place on Dec. 20 at the Sofitel Dome in Cotonou, Benin. The full card features 11 matchups from 12 countries and will crown four inaugural champions with $100,000 prizes for each divisional winner.

The event will be broadcast across Africa via Canal+, SuperSport, SportyTV, StarzPlay, PFL’s streampflafrica.com and other regional partners. U.S. viewers can watch live on VICE TV and through the PFL app.

Top billing and title fights

The main event pits South Africa’s Nkosi “King of Many Nations” Ndebele (10-3) against Algeria’s unbeaten Karim “The Kryptonian” Henniene (6-0) for bantamweight gold. The co-main features Angola’s Shido Boris Esperança (11-1) versus Guinea-Bissau’s Yabna N’Tchala (13-2-1) in the welterweight final.

Heavyweight gold will be contested as South Africa’s Justin Clarke (4-0) faces Ivory Coast’s Abraham Bably (7-2). The featherweight final matches Cameroonian Alain Majorique (6-0) with Nigeria’s hot-streaking Wasi Adeshina (9-3).

Women’s spotlight and regional showcases

Women’s MMA is showcased with two strawweight bouts, including undefeated Nigerian Juliet Ukah (7-0) versus Egypt’s Maryam Gaber (3-0). Zambian amateur standout Shelda Chipito — 2025 IMMAF African champion and 2025 IMMAF Worlds silver medalist — makes her pro debut against Nigeria’s Miracle Andrew (1-1).

Benin’s Jean Do Santos (9-1) appears in a lightweight showcase against Nigeria’s Cornel Thompson (10-3). Additional matchups include Styve Ngono vs. Mélèdje Yedoh at light heavyweight and Abdoulaye Kane vs. Jashell Ticha Awa at heavyweight.
