LUANDA, Angola – The Africell NBA Africa collaboration is expanding from Angola to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), The Gambia, and Sierra Leone. This initiative will provide thousands of young people in four countries with opportunities to learn and play basketball.
Since its launch in 2022, the collaboration in Angola has delivered Jr. NBA tournaments, clinics, and court refurbishments. These programs have nurtured youth talent and built excitement for basketball across the country.

Expanding youth basketball programs across Africa
Building on success in Angola, the Africell NBA Africa collaboration will introduce a Jr. NBA league in Angola next month. It will be followed by clinics and 3-on-3 tournaments in the DRC, The Gambia, and Sierra Leone in 2026.
Each country has a young, active population eager to participate in high-quality sports. The initiative also supports the Africell Impact Foundation, focusing on sports and healthcare while helping Africell grow its customer base.
