The INTERNATIONAL SERIES will make its Philippine debut from October 23-26 at Sta. Elena Golf and Country Club.
Miguel Tabuena, the country’s top-ranked golfer, will lead the local charge.
Organizers confirmed the participation of major winners Bubba Watson, Patrick Reed, Charl Schwartzel, and Louis Oosthuizen. Their presence guarantees world-class competition for Manila fans.
International Series head Rahul Singh and tournament director Pat Janssen visited Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman Patrick “Pato” Gregorio to discuss preparations. Singh said the Manila stop underscores the event’s mission to expand golf across Southeast Asia.
Tabuena and champions headline field
Tabuena is expected to anchor the home campaign. He will test his game against seasoned LIV GOLF champions in one of the strongest fields ever assembled for the tournament.
Singh called the event a “significant step” in connecting with the Philippine golf community. The Manila stop is the latest addition to the Asian Tour-sanctioned International Series.
PSC highlights tourism boost
Gregorio said the PSC is proud to host another global competition. The Manila leg follows the FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championships and reinforces the country’s role as a sports tourism hub.
“This event highlights the Philippines as a premier destination for international competition,” Gregorio said.
The International Series is sanctioned by the Asian Tour and linked with LIV GOLF. Officials expect the Sta. Elena showcase to elevate the Philippines on the global golf stage.
