The Professional Fighters League will stage a landmark event in France with PFL Lyon set for December 13 at LDLC Arena.
The main event features Vadim Nemkov (18-2), a former Bellator champion, against Renan Ferreira (13-4), the 2024 PFL heavyweight tournament winner, for the PFL World Heavyweight Championship.
In the co-main event, Cris Cyborg (28-2) defends the women’s featherweight title against Sara Collins (6-0), an undefeated Australian contender. Cyborg has won titles in every major promotion she has fought for, while Collins enters her first world title bout.
Heavyweight title clash
Nemkov brings a balanced skill set of striking and grappling, with 15 of his 18 victories coming by finish. A protégé of Fedor Emelianenko, he has built his career on consistency and high-level competition. His ability to mix wrestling and striking makes him a difficult puzzle for any opponent.
Ferreira, meanwhile, is one of the division’s most feared knockout artists. Eleven of his 13 wins have come by knockout, most inside the first round. At 6-foot-8, he uses his reach and power to overwhelm opponents, setting the stage for a classic clash of technique versus raw power.
Cyborg returns against rising contender
Cyborg remains one of the sport’s most dominant fighters, boasting 23 stoppages in her career. Known for her ferocious striking and relentless pace, she has maintained championship form for more than a decade across multiple organizations.
Collins steps in unbeaten, with six straight wins to start her professional career. The Australian has shown poise and submission skills in her rise through the ranks, but facing a legend like Cyborg will be the toughest test of her career to date.
The Lyon card will also host the PFL Europe Tournament Finals in the lightweight and bantamweight divisions, with two new champions to be crowned. Ticket sales begin September 26.
