Alas Pilipinas will showcase its level of preparedness for the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship (FIVB MWCH) Philippines 2025 as the Alas Pilipinas Invitationals kick off on Tuesday, June 10. The national team will plunge into action before Filipino fans against Indonesia’s Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

“In the flesh and 94 days before the world championship,” said Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) Ramon “Tats” Suzara.

This event invigorates Rebisco’s active sponsorship of the 32-nation FIVB MWCH, which is scheduled from September 12 to 28 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Alas Pilipinas will face the Indonesians in the main match at 7:30 p.m. at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, following the clash between Hyundai Capital Skywalkers of South Korea and the Thailand National Team at 4 p.m.

“As proud sponsors of the Men’s Volleyball World Championship, we at Rebisco, together with the PNVF, fully support the continued development and popularity of volleyball among Filipinos,” said Rebisco vice chairman Jonathan Ng.

Ng added, “We see the sport as a vehicle of inspiration for our countrymen to be the best that they can be. The values of hard work, discipline, sportsmanship, integrity, and dedication that our players display can be applied to all aspects of Filipino life.”

Also present at the announcement were PNVF vice president Ricky Palou and secretary-general Don Caringal, Action Republic Corp. president Rollie Delfino, and Field Sales Operations head Alandel Acero, along with Alas Pilipinas captain Bryan Bagunas and FIVB MWCH ambassador Alyssa Valdez.

Coaches led by Angiolino Frigoni and team captains of the participating squads were also in attendance. The event enjoys support from partners including Smart, PLDT Home, Meralco, Metro Pacific, PAGCOR, LRTA, Maynilad, DOOH, RMN, Ibis Styles Manila, and the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Wednesday’s Invitationals schedule features Thailand versus Jakarta at 4 p.m. and Alas Pilipinas versus Hyundai at 7:30 p.m. On Thursday, Jakarta meets Hyundai at 4 p.m., with Alas Pilipinas facing Thailand at 7:30 p.m.
