Al Ahli Tripoli of Libya delivered a commanding 107–81 win over Cape Verde’s Kriol Star in the first BAL 2025 quarterfinal showdown. Fabian White Jr. erupted for 34 points and 13 rebounds, with Jaylen Adams adding 19 points to power the Libyan squad into the semifinals.
Kriol Star’s Joel Ntambwe put up a valiant effort with 25 points and 7 rebounds but could not overcome the Tripoli onslaught. The game quickly tilted in Al Ahli’s favor thanks to efficient ball movement, high-percentage shooting, and total control of the glass on both ends.
Al Ittihad Survives Overtime Thriller Against FUS Rabat
In one of the most thrilling encounters of the season, Al Ittihad of Egypt escaped with an 86–83 overtime win over FUS Rabat to book their spot in the semifinals. Nisre Zouzou forced OT with a deep three, but the Egyptian side stayed unbeaten with timely plays down the stretch.
Lual Acuil led Al Ittihad with a 16-point, 11-rebound double-double, while Kyle Vinales added 16 points and 7 assists. Majok Deng chipped in 15 points in a balanced offensive effort, as they overcame Jonathan Jordan’s 23-point effort for FUS Rabat in a game full of playoff intensity.
