PFL Europe returns to Belfast as Paul Hughes faces Bruno Miranda in main event

The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has unveiled the complete lineup for PFL Europe Belfast, happening on May 10 at The SSE Arena. The spotlight is firmly on hometown hero Paul “Big News” Hughes (13-2), who headlines the event in a Showcase Main Event Lightweight bout against Brazil’s Bruno “Robusto” Miranda (17-5).

Hughes is eager to rebound from a tough decision loss to Usman Nurmagomedov earlier this year, and this Belfast homecoming gives him the perfect stage to do it. But Miranda, a powerhouse striker with experience against former world champions, is coming to spoil the party.

The co-main event sees Alan “Super Ali” Philpott (21-16-0, 1 NC) making his long-awaited return to fight in front of home fans for the first time in over a decade. He’ll face off against rising star and reigning 2024 PFL Europe Bantamweight Champion Lewis “The McGrizzla” McGrillen (11-1), who’s coming off back-to-back KO wins.

In addition to the marquee matchups, fans will get a taste of the future with the first round of the 2025 PFL Europe Lightweight Tournament, along with a slate of Showcase Bouts featuring local favorites.
