PFL Africa Nigeria Weigh-Ins Set Stage for Historic Lagos Debut Fight Card

The official weigh-ins for PFL Africa: Nigeria – First Round confirmed all fighters ahead of a historic night of mixed martial arts action set for Saturday at the Eko Convention Center in Lagos, Nigeria. The event begins at 6:00 PM WAT (1:00 PM ET) and marks the promotion’s debut in the country.

Headlining the card is a featherweight showcase bout between Nigeria’s Wasi “The Nigerian Jaguar” Adeshina and Spain’s Ignacio Campos, with both fighters successfully making weight. The matchup anchors a landmark event for the Professional Fighters League as it expands its African footprint.

The co-main event features Nigeria’s Patrick “Star Boi” Ocheme against Cameroon’s Octave Ayinda in a lightweight tournament first-round clash, with both competitors also clearing the scale ahead of fight night.

Main Card Bouts Set

The remainder of the card features a full lineup of tournament and showcase bouts across multiple weight divisions, with fighters from across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East all making weight successfully.

Key matchups include bantamweight tournament bouts such as Karim Henniene vs Thimna Mhlauli and Raphael Uchegbu vs Edson Machavane, alongside lightweight contests including Cornel Thompson vs Aureo Cruz and Abderrahman Errachidy vs Hussain Al Kurdi.

Additional fights include a middleweight showcase between Yahaya Yahuza and Jordan Fongno, a women’s strawweight bout featuring Juliet Ukah against Elisandra Ferreira, and a light heavyweight showcase between Styve Ngono and Richard Muzaan.

Historic MMA Night in Lagos

The Lagos card also features bantamweight matchups including Alain Majorique vs Dwight Joseph and Boule Godogo vs Dauda Rajabu, as well as Jean Do Santos vs Demba Seck in lightweight action. Shelda Chipito vs Haidy Ahmed completes the women’s strawweight showcase portion of the event.
