Said Maalem reignites rivalry with Fakhreddine after BRAVE CF win

Mohamed “L’Ambiance” Said Maalem finally reached a defining peak in his MMA career at BRAVE CF 106 in Ljubljana, Slovenia on Saturday, June 6, but the celebration quickly shifted toward unfinished business. He defeated Erko “The Bounty Hunter” Jun via fourth-round stoppage to capture the BRAVE CF Light Heavyweight World Title in the co-main event. The victory cemented his status as a champion. It also reopened a rivalry that continues to follow him.

Despite the breakthrough win, attention immediately turned back to Mohammad “The Latest” Fakhreddine, reigniting one of BRAVE CF’s most heated rivalries. The moment of triumph did not slow the tension. Instead, it intensified the narrative surrounding both fighters and their shared history.

A championship win in Slovenia quickly turned into another chapter of unfinished business between Said Maalem and Fakhreddine.

Mohamed said Maalem’s Brave CF 106 rivalry fallout

“Give me Fakhreddine. Fahkro, come here, boy,” Said Maalem said during his post-fight interview. The callout was direct and unfiltered. It signaled that his focus had already shifted beyond his recent victory.

Fakhreddine responded shortly after on social media. “Challenge accepted. I’m about to come and get your a** again,” he wrote. The exchange immediately reignited public interest in a potential third fight. It also confirmed that neither fighter has moved on from their past encounters.

Their rivalry began at BRAVE CF 52 in Milan in August 2021, where Said Maalem originally won via first-round technical knockout for the vacant light heavyweight title. That result was later overturned by officials. A review determined illegal strikes to the back of the head occurred during the finishing sequence. The result was changed to a no-contest.

The reversal erased both the victory and the championship moment from the official record. It also extended the tension between both fighters. What was once a title celebration became a point of dispute that demanded resolution.

BRAVE CF 106 rivalry escalation continues

The rivalry escalated again at BRAVE CF 57 in Bahrain in March 2022, where Fakhreddine won via second-round stoppage to capture the vacant title. That victory settled the score at the time. It also gave Fakhreddine a clear edge in their competitive history.

Now, Said Maalem’s latest championship win has reopened the storyline. Both fighters remain central figures in BRAVE CF’s global landscape. Their paths appear aligned once again toward another confrontation.

With both athletes holding championship status in different divisions, discussions around a trilogy fight have intensified. The history between them spans controversy, redemption, and decisive finishes. Each encounter has carried lasting consequences for their careers.

The rivalry remains unresolved in narrative terms. Fans and the promotion now face renewed speculation about a third fight. BRAVE CF’s evolving title picture may ultimately determine whether the trilogy becomes reality.
