Forster-Tutić rematch adds fuel to BRAVE CF 106 rivalry

The world title fights may headline BRAVE CF 106, but one of the most anticipated matchups on the card could come from a rivalry that remains far from settled.

Slovenian favorite David Forster and Bosnia’s Amil Tutić are set to meet again in a 77.5-kilogram catchweight contest on June 6 at Hala Tivoli in Ljubljana. The rematch comes months after their controversial first meeting produced one of the most heated encounters in recent BRAVE Combat Federation history.

Their initial clash at BRAVE CF 102 in November 2025 delivered nonstop action and escalating tension as both fighters battled through three physically demanding rounds in front of a passionate crowd.

What began as a competitive contest quickly evolved into a grudge match, with verbal exchanges, physical confrontations, and repeated interventions from the referee becoming a major part of the story.

Rivalry remains unresolved

The first bout ended with Forster earning a narrow unanimous decision victory, but the verdict did little to settle the disagreement between the two fighters.

Both camps left the arena frustrated, with questions surrounding the officiating and the conduct inside the cage continuing long after the final scorecards were announced.

Forster has remained vocal about his dissatisfaction with Tutić’s approach during their first encounter. The Slovenian believes his opponent crossed the line on multiple occasions and failed to respect the rules of the sport.

“He was throwing elbows to the back of my head and acting like he does not even know the basic rules of MMA,” Forster said. “That is not how you fight. If that is the way he wants to compete, then he should be doing it in a bar, not inside a cage.”

Those comments have only intensified anticipation for the rematch, which now carries personal significance beyond rankings or records.

The return to Ljubljana ensures that the rivalry will once again play out in front of Forster’s home supporters, adding another layer of pressure to an already volatile matchup.

Both fighters predict finish

Tutić remains convinced that the judges got it wrong the first time and insists he was the better fighter throughout the contest.

The Bosnian contender believes his pressure and aggression dictated the pace of the fight and that he deserved to leave Slovenia with the victory.

“I pushed that fight from start to finish,” Tutić declared. “I made him uncomfortable, and I made him look like he was losing in front of his own people. I should have had my hand raised.”

Confident in his development since their first meeting, Tutić believes the rematch will remove any doubt regarding who is superior.

“There will be no controversy this time,” he stated. “But it is also wrong for him to accept this rematch because I am a better fighter now than I was before. He is taking a risk he does not understand.”

Forster, meanwhile, is determined to avoid another close decision and plans to finish the fight before the judges become a factor.

“He can say what he wants and believe what he wants,” Forster asserted. “I am not leaving it in the judges’ hands again. I am going to finish him early and finally shut him up.”

With both fighters promising a decisive outcome and neither willing to back down, the rematch has all the ingredients to become one of the most explosive bouts at BRAVE CF 106.
