BRAVE Combat Federation has confirmed a late change to its flyweight lineup for BRAVE CF 105 after visa complications forced Ismail “The Volcano” Khan to withdraw from the scheduled matchup. The organization announced that top-ranked contender Dias “Son of the Steppes” Yerengaipov will now meet Kyrgyz veteran Ryskulbek “Kyrgyzstani Kraken” Ibraimov at the Baluan Sholak Sports Palace in Almaty, Kazakhstan on May 31.
The revised pairing immediately adds another layer to the growing sports rivalry between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan inside the BRAVE CF cage. With Yerengaipov competing on home soil and Ibraimov stepping in on short notice, the matchup now carries both competitive and regional significance heading into fight night.

Yerengaipov enters the contest as one of the most established names in the flyweight division, carrying an 18-3 professional record that includes six knockouts and six submissions. His balanced offensive approach and composure under pressure have helped him emerge as one of BRAVE CF’s leading contenders in the weight class.
Since signing with BRAVE CF, the Kazakh standout has remained unbeaten inside the promotion with a 3-0 record. One of the most notable victories during that stretch came against former BRAVE CF Bantamweight World Champion Jose “Shorty” Torres, further elevating his status within the organization.
Short-notice matchup unfolds
Yerengaipov last competed at BRAVE CF 101 in November 2025, where he secured a hard-fought split decision victory over Bairam Shammadov in a demanding 130-pound catchweight contest. The bout reinforced his reputation for durability and tactical discipline in closely contested fights.
Despite the abrupt opponent switch, Yerengaipov still faces a dangerous challenge in Ibraimov, who brings extensive experience against international competition. The Kyrgyz veteran has competed against a wide range of opponents throughout his professional career and already has previous experience fighting under the BRAVE CF banner.
Ibraimov’s familiarity with the organization’s pace and environment could help offset the disadvantages of stepping into the fight on short notice. At the same time, the compressed preparation window introduces unpredictability for both fighters as they adjust strategies ahead of the event.
The matchup presents an important opportunity for Yerengaipov to continue climbing the flyweight rankings while competing in front of a home crowd in Kazakhstan. A victory would further strengthen his case as one of the leading contenders in the division.
For Ibraimov, the fight represents a chance to revive momentum on the international stage by upsetting one of BRAVE CF’s top-ranked flyweights. With contrasting styles and regional pride involved, the contest adds another compelling storyline to BRAVE CF 105 in Almaty.
