Filipino fittest global creator Wil Dasovich carried the Philippine flag in the inaugural Red Bull 400 Team Ascent held in Sapporo, Japan, as he joined 28 of the world’s fittest creators in one of the most punishing uphill endurance challenges in global fitness competition.
The event pushed competitors through a redesigned version of the already infamous Red Bull 400, a 400-meter uphill sprint up the Okurayama Ski Jump that demanded extreme strength, speed, endurance, and coordination across multiple team-based heats.

Dasovich competed alongside elite international names in a format that required teams of four to quickly build chemistry and execute under pressure across three distinct physical challenges.
Brutal team format tested limits
Unlike the traditional solo Red Bull 400 race, the Team Ascent format forced creators into mixed teams that had to work together across speed runs, weighted climbs, and coordination-based relay challenges.
Each heat demanded a different skill set, from raw uphill sprinting to carrying 40 kilograms collectively and completing synchronized movement tasks under extreme fatigue and steep gradients reaching up to 37 degrees.
The format rewarded teamwork as much as individual strength, making strategy and communication as important as physical conditioning on the punishing climb.
Global creators battle uphill
The competition brought together creators from 20 countries, turning the Okurayama Ski Jump into a global stage for endurance sport and content-driven athletic performance.
Germany’s Imke Salander, Belgium’s Stien Edmund, USA’s Heber Cannon, and Japan’s Ryota Takano ultimately claimed the inaugural Team Ascent title after mastering all three phases of the challenge.

While Wil Dasovich and his team did not finish on the podium, his participation highlighted the Philippines’ presence in a growing global creator-athlete space where fitness, entertainment, and competition intersect.
