Justin Patton made an immediate impact in his San Miguel Beer debut, delivering a dominant all-around performance to help the Beermen secure a 110-94 victory over the Macau Black Knights in the PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup on Tuesday, March 31, at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium. The former NBA big man showcased his size, mobility, and defensive instincts throughout the contest.
Patton finished with 24 points and 17 rebounds while also adding three steals, two assists, and one block against three turnovers, giving San Miguel a much-needed lift after a slow start to their campaign. His presence inside helped stabilize the Beermen’s interior defense and rebounding efforts.

Patton delivers dominant debut performance
Justin Patton immediately showed why San Miguel brought him in as reinforcement, controlling the paint on both ends of the floor and setting the tone early with aggressive rebounding and rim protection. His activity forced Macau into difficult attempts while opening transition opportunities for the Beermen.
The Beermen leaned on Patton’s interior presence as he anchored their defensive structure and provided second-chance scoring opportunities. His chemistry with the team appeared promising despite being his first game in the system.
Beermen overpower Macau behind rebounding edge
San Miguel controlled the glass and dictated tempo throughout the game, building a comfortable lead early and maintaining separation the rest of the way. CJ Perez added 26 points while June Mar Fajardo posted a 16-point, 16-rebound double-double to complement Patton’s debut impact.
Macau struggled to match San Miguel’s physicality and depth despite 23 points and 10 rebounds from Tony Mitchell. The Black Knights dropped to 0-5 after another one-sided defeat in the conference.
