Availability is the best ability.

Lakers legend LeBron James has played in just 24 of the Lakers’ 41 games (25–16 at the break).

He does not deserve to be an NBA All-Star on merit.

Maybe the coaches will select him as a reserve out of respect for his legendary career.

The 41-year-old James, now on his 23rd NBA campaign, can miss no more than one game this season to qualify for any of the NBA post-season team and/or individual awards. (A player must have played at least 65 games and at least 20 minutes in each of those games.)

He missed the first 14 games of the season due to sciatica.
