Swiatek’s commanding performance

Swiatek claimed the first set in 38 minutes, with Bouzkova, ranked No. 44, offering little resistance. The Pole maintained consistency, striking winners from the baseline and demonstrating tactical awareness that limited her opponent to only three winners.

Swiatek admitted to feeling freer and more aggressive than in the opening round. “It felt great playing today, I felt much more free than in the first round. I wanted to go for it,” she said, highlighting the difference in approach that propelled her win.

Looking ahead to the third round

Swiatek will face Anna Kalinskaya in the third round. The upcoming match presents a new test of skill and endurance as the Pole continues her pursuit of an elusive Australian Open title. Fans will watch closely as she looks to maintain momentum and challenge for her first Melbourne trophy.

Her blend of power, consistency, and court awareness positions her as a favorite, with expectations high for deep progression into the tournament’s later stages.
