The Philippines will open its campaign in the 13th ASEAN Para Games on Monday, Jan. 19, in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, with its wheelchair 3×3 basketball and cerebral palsy football teams taking center stage. Both squads are aiming for strong starts in the preliminary rounds.
The men’s wheelchair 3×3 team will face Indonesia at 11:30 a.m. (Manila time), while the women’s side meets host Thailand at 12 p.m. The matches will be played at the fourth floor of Terminal 21 Korat.
Pilipinas Warriors head coach Vernon Perea stressed the importance of in-game adjustments and physical readiness. He said that preparation must translate into sharp execution once competition begins.

CP football team also opens Monday
The men’s cerebral palsy football team will begin its campaign at 4 p.m. at the Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University Football Stadium. The squad is also looking to build early momentum in group play.
The opening ceremony of the Games is scheduled on Tuesday, Jan. 20, while the full competition program officially starts on Wednesday.
