Guiao branded his squad with realism

“We had no superstars. But we played with a system, and that was enough,” Guiao said, highlighting his confidence in the team’s cohesion and strategy. His roster included Chris Tiu, Paul Lee, Beau Belga, Gabe Norwood, JR Quinahan, and Jeffrei Chan, all players who embodied this system-based approach.

Guiao acknowledged the challenges ahead but framed them as an opportunity to test his team’s mettle. His comments reflected both humility and belief, underlining the importance of teamwork and smart execution in the finals.

Tropang Texters’ experience decided the series

Talk ‘N Text, coached by Norman Black, fielded a star-studded lineup featuring Jimmy Alapag, Jayson Castro, Ranidel De Ocampo, Larry Fonacier, and Kelly Williams. Their experience and offensive firepower proved decisive throughout the series.

Despite Guiao’s confidence in system play, Talk ‘N Text swept Rain or Shine, showcasing the combination of skill, strategy, and consistency. The series remains a memorable example of underdog determination against a powerhouse team.
