Philippines’ hosting earns global recognition

The hosts, Filipina5, also made history on the court. Inday Tolentin scored the team’s first goal, followed by Cathrine Graversen’s strike in a 2-3 loss to Morocco. Isabella Bandoja netted the lone goal in their 1-5 defeat to Argentina.

The 16-nation event has already seen historic moments and exciting matches. The semifinals feature world No. 1 Brazil and No. 2 Spain contesting one finals slot. No. 3 Portugal faces No. 6 Argentina in the other semifinal.
