Patricia Mae Santor continued her dominant run in the pool, claiming her sixth gold medal on the final competition day in the 2025 Batang Pinoy National Championships in General Santos City.
The City of Manila standout, a University of Santo Tomas student-athlete, anchored her squad to gold in the 4×50-meter medley relay with Kristine Jane Uy, Naomi Sy, and Eliana Isabel Rodriguez. The team clocked 2:08.86 to beat Bacolod City and Mandaue City.
Santor finished with four individual and two relay golds, plus a silver, emerging as the most bemedaled female swimmer of the tournament held at the Antonio Acharon Sports Complex.
Mabalacat City’s FJ Catherine Cruz, Aklan’s Nuche Veronica Ibit, and Malabon City’s Sophia Rose Garra also swept all their individual events for five golds each.

Lagnason shines at home, Manila tops standings
Local bet Christian Isaiah Lagnason claimed four golds before a false start cost him a fifth. Still, he noted steady progress.
“Improvement rin — one more gold than last year,” Lagnason said. “Last year, I was just going for fun, and now I’m more serious… I’d like to set more records.”

Quezon City ruled the boys’ 3×3 basketball event behind its FEU-Diliman core, defeating Taguig City, 21–16. Negros Occidental earned bronze over Davao del Norte, 17–13.
In the girls’ division, Cagayan de Oro topped Davao City, 19–15, while Bulacan edged Caloocan City, 16–14, for third place.
Manila ahead in tight title race
The race for the overall crown remains close as the tournament winds down.
As of 5 p.m., Manila leads with 32 gold, 27 silver, and 24 bronze (83 total). Defending champion Pasig follows with 29-17-21 (70), trailed by Baguio (29-17-22 for 68), Quezon City (20-19-23 for 62), and Zamboanga City (16-12-3 for 31).
PSC Chairman John Patrick Gregorio led the closing rites, while General Santos City Mayor Lorelie G. Pacquiao turned over hosting responsibilities to Bacolod City Mayor Greg G. Gasataya.
The competition ends Friday, when the overall champion of the biggest Batang Pinoy edition will be crowned.
