TNT Tropang 5G delivered a statement performance Friday, October 24, in Antipolo, routing the undermanned Titan Ultra Giant Risers, 130-92, to seize sole possession of the PBA Philippine Cup lead.
The Tropang 5G turned a fast start into an overwhelming win, building a 62-38 halftime advantage and never letting Titan Ultra back into the game. The margin was the tournament’s largest so far.

Bench depth fuels TNT blowout
TNT’s reserves and role players carried the scoring load. Henry Galinato paced the rout with 16 points, while Mike Nieto added 15. Calvin Oftana scored 14, Tyrus Hill had 12, and Glenn Khobuntin chipped in 11.
Coach Chot Reyes leaned on his full lineup and got big returns. TNT’s balanced attack kept Titan Ultra’s defense off balance and erased any momentum from Calvin Abueva’s return to the opposing side.
Titan Ultra fought hard at times, but the Giant Risers lacked the bodies and consistency to match TNT’s depth. Joshua Munzon finished with 20 points for Titan Ultra, which fell to 1-3 after back-to-back heavy losses.
TNT tops standings as league tightens
The victory moves TNT to 3-1 and into the top spot alone. Other contenders sit close behind, making every remaining matchup critical.
TNT’s win underscored the value of depth in a long conference. When starters rested, bench players supplied scoring, defense and energy—turning a solid start into a runaway result.
