The Philippines will welcome the FIBA 3×3 World Tour 2025 Manila Challenger on September 20 and 21 at Ayala Malls Manila Bay. The event offers a chance to qualify for the Macau Masters 2025, attracting some of the world’s top 3×3 players.

Sixteen teams will compete, including world No. 1 Strahinja Stojacic and No. 2 Marko Brankovic of Serbia, alongside Nenad Nerandzic (No. 5) and Nemanja Barac (No. 8). Latvia’s 2020 Olympic gold medalists Karlis Lasmanis and Nauris Miezis will join China’s Chongming team.
Other international teams include Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia), Hangzhou (China), Skyliners (Germany), Utrecht (Netherlands), Lugano (Switzerland), Taipei, Seef (Bahrain), Shanghai (China), SG Marina Bay (Singapore), Singapore, and East Jakarta (Indonesia).
Local teams aim to shine
Three Philippine teams will represent Mandaluyong, Cavite, and Manila. Mandaluyong will feature guards Jeff Manday and Joseph Sedurifa, while Mac Tallo is expected to return to FIBA 3×3 action for Manila.
SBP President Al Panlilio highlighted the opportunity to earn ranking points for the Macau Masters while giving Filipino fans a chance to watch elite 3×3 basketball firsthand.
The Manila Challenger is backed by Smart, Arena Plus, B’lue Water, and the Philippine Sports Commission, helping strengthen local 3×3 basketball development and international exposure.
