PFL Champions Series Cape Town to stream live on ESPN+ and PFL App

The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has announced the full streaming details for its highly anticipated July 19 event in Cape Town, South Africa, which features both the PFL Champions Series Road to Dubai and the historic debut of PFL Africa.

Set inside the Grand Arena, GrandWest, the groundbreaking event will be streamed live in the United States via ESPN+ and the PFL App. The Champions Series portion will air exclusively on ESPN+, while fans can watch the PFL Africa matchups live and free through the PFL App.

Milestone event for MMA in Africa

“The debut of PFL Africa marks a historic milestone in the global evolution of mixed martial arts,” said PFL CEO Peter Murray. “We’re proud to deliver this groundbreaking event to fans worldwide, and to showcase the PFL Champions Series live in the U.S. on ESPN+.”

Action begins on the PFL App at 10:00 AM EST with the PFL Africa tournament’s opening bouts in the Bantamweight and Heavyweight divisions. Later at 2:00 PM EST, ESPN+ will stream five high-profile Champions Series fights headlined by a Middleweight World Title clash between unbeaten champion Johnny Eblen (16-0) and Spain’s Costello van Steenis (16-3).

Flyweight star Dakota Ditcheva (14-0) battles Sumiko Inaba (8-1) in the co-main event, while former Bellator champ AJ McKee (22-2) returns to action against Russian talent Akhmed Magomedov (11-1). Other featured matchups include Corey Anderson vs. Denis Goltsov in a Heavyweight showcase and a Lightweight battle between Artur Zaynukov and Japan’s Takeshi Izumi.
