Farm Fresh thrived under pressure and before a sellout crowd at the Capital Arena in Isabela, pulling off a stunning 23-25, 25-19, 25-23, 26-24 win over the favored but undermanned Choco Mucho side in the 2025 PVL On Tour Saturday night.
The win lifted the Foxies to a 1-1 record in Pool A, joining Petro Gazz in second place behind unbeaten Nxled (2-0). It was also a bounce-back statement after a straight-set loss to PLDT last July 1.

Tubu leads the way in a gritty Foxies comeback
Trisha Tubu delivered a dominant performance, firing 22 points, including three blocks—none bigger than her final stuff on Mean Mendrez to seal the match. The Best Player of the Game also posted nine excellent digs in a composed all-around effort.
“Sobrang halaga ang panalong ito sa amin,” said Tubu. “Sobrang thankful kami na na-a-apply na namin ang bagong sistema.”
Coach Alessandro Lodi’s fire and tactical guidance on the sidelines helped the Foxies regroup after losing the opening set. Backed by Caitlin Viray (10 points, 12 excellent receptions) and Jolina Dela Cruz (16 points, 8 receptions), Farm Fresh executed clean plays down the stretch despite 39 service errors.
Rizza Cruz, Lorene Toring, and setter Alohi Robins-Hardy also came through, with Robins-Hardy tallying 22 excellent sets and outperforming Deanna Wong’s 15.
Choco Mucho fights back but falls short
Even without stars Sisi Rondina and Dindin Manabat, Choco Mucho showed flashes of brilliance. Des Cheng sparked a fourth-set rally, trimming a 22-18 deficit to a 23-22 lead, while rookie Jen Villegas impressed with a key block.
But the Foxies proved more composed in crunch time, with Cruz and Viray answering back, and Tubu eventually sealing the win.
Isa Molde led Choco Mucho with 13 points before exiting with a foot injury. Cheng added 10, while Villegas, Tubino, and Nunag combined for 21 points.
Despite a rocky start and a first-set filled with errors, Farm Fresh found its rhythm in the second and never looked back, thrilling the 7,648 fans in attendance with every rally.
