Cignal HD Spikers have continued their impressive offseason by making key additions to their roster. The team announced the official signing of two new draftees, an undrafted libero, and the long-term extension of Ishie Lalongisip, their standout Rookie of the Conference.

New Faces and Fresh Talent

Erin Pangilinan and Jessa Ordiales, selected 6th and 18th overall in the 2025 PVL Draft, have officially inked contracts with the HD Spikers, marking the beginning of their professional volleyball careers. Pangilinan, a former NU Lady Bulldog, and Ordiales, a former DLSU Lady Spiker, are scheduled to join the team as part of the PVL On Tour starting this Sunday in Ilocos.

Alongside the new draftees, Pearl Denura, a former NU libero, was also signed to the team after going undrafted in the last PVL draft. Denura brings valuable experience and depth to the team’s backcourt, helping to bolster Cignal’s defensive lineup.

Lalongisip’s Long-Term Extension

Adding even more excitement to the offseason, the Cignal HD Spikers have secured a long-term contract extension with Ishie Lalongisip, who was recently crowned Rookie of the Conference. Lalongisip, who was selected 7th overall in the 2024 PVL Draft, stepped up as a starter during Cignal’s impressive rise to the third seed in the All-Filipino Conference.

Lalongisip’s exceptional play and growth were key factors in her recognition as Rookie of the Conference. Her signing marks a major step in Cignal’s long-term plan to build a championship-contending team.

Coach Shaq Delos Santos’ Excitement

Head coach Shaq Delos Santos expressed his excitement about the new additions and the team’s prospects for the upcoming season. Despite some key players like Vanie Gandler and Dawn Catindig having national team duties with Alas Pilipinas, Delos Santos remains confident in his squad.

“Masaya and excited ako sa team namin ngayon kahit may Alas Pilipinas duties sina Vanie (Gandler) and Dawn (Catindig). It’s a good time to try out our new draftees in the PVL On Tour, and we’re confident to say that we want them to be here long-term and hopefully become part of our long-coveted championship,” said Delos Santos.

New Outfitter Partnership

In addition to bolstering their roster, Cignal also welcomed a new outfitter for the women’s team. JYL Atletica is now the official supplier for all of Cignal’s jerseys, shorts, jackets, and apparel needs, ensuring the team looks sharp as they compete in the upcoming season.

Looking Ahead to the PVL On Tour

Cignal is set to compete in Group B of the PVL On Tour, alongside teams such as Creamline, Akari, Chery, Capital1, and Galeries. The HD Spikers will open their tournament against the Akari Chargers on June 22 at 4 p.m. as they aim to continue their momentum and make a strong statement in the league.
