Criss Cross ace Jude Garcia made a remarkable achievement on Sunday, April 5, by securing an unprecedented third consecutive Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in the 2025 Spikers’ Turf Open Conference at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.

This milestone came after Garcia, who had already earned the league’s highest individual honor in last year’s Invitational Conference, further cemented his legacy as the league’s most decorated MVP. The 26-year-old outside hitter of the King Crunchers finished second in scoring with a total of 200 points, including 161 attacks, 32 blocks, and seven service aces.

Garcia’s versatility was on full display as he ranked second in spiking with a 46.40% success rate, led the league in blocking with 0.70 blocks per set, placed ninth in service with 0.15 aces per set, 10th in digging with 1.11 digs per set, and fourth in receiving with a 48.91% efficiency rate.

Meanwhile, Savouge’s Mark Calado and Shawie Caritativo were named Best Outside Spikers, showcasing their scoring prowess and all-around impact for the Spin Doctors. Calado had a breakout season after a subpar stint with Cignal last year, leading the league in scoring with 229 points, including 208 attacks, 16 blocks, and five aces. He also finished third in spiking with a 46.12% success rate.

The Best Opposite Spiker award went to Steven Rotter of the Cignal HD Spikers, following an impressive scoring campaign where he was the most efficient spiker with a 48.65% success rate and also ranked first in serving with 14 aces. Rotter was named Finals MVP after leading the HD Spikers to the championship, averaging 14.33 points in the three-game finals series, including a standout performance in the Game 3 victory.

In addition, Cignal’s JP Bugaoan and Criss Cross’ Gian Glorioso were awarded Best Middle Blocker. Bugaoan ranked second in blocking with 30 blocks (0.67 per set), while Glorioso followed closely behind in fourth with 23 blocks (0.50 per set). Bugaoan also made his mark by breaking into the top 15 in scoring with 94 points, while Glorioso finished 19th with 85 points.

The Best Setter award went to Ish Polvorosa of Criss Cross, who ranked first in setting with 5.20 per set, and Vince Lorenzo of Cignal was named Best Libero for the second consecutive time, placing second in digs with 2.13 per set and third in receiving with a 48.97% efficiency rate.
